unconditional love

I always feel specially blessed by God whenever I receive and listen beautiful love notes by my school children. Manas has been with me since 6 years, recently he got a Job in good company. Before leaving, he sent me a mail which made me cry, smile, feel touched, moved, proud and pampered.

This is the mail:
Dear Madam,
Madam i am requesting you to not to eat sweets and do not drink any soft drink please madam. Madam if you keep on eating sweets and dringking soft drinks then your health will get spoiled. Madam i cannot see you in a bad shape. Madam if you want me to continue the job then you promise me that you will take care of your health. If you do not touch any sweet then i am going to come and see you.

Yours'a faithfully
Manas Mohan

bandh

I am getting calls from parents that their children are becoming very restless during these bandh days. I tried to talk those children over phone. The question from them is Why bandh? Why no school? Why no shops?
I tried to explain in very vague way that on bandh day no body can go on roads. The shooting question from that side is" How come many people are playing  with police on roads. I have seen in TV."?

Any answers???????

Picnic month

Feb. is a outing month for us with good weather to play and run around. Children had a blast at Sanjeevayya park. Girls vocational class had gone to Zoo along with parents and teachers. They utilized the outing as a discussion point to decide the future vocational programmes. I was so much relieved by the initiative taken by the parents. Parents, I need strength to join my strength. Together we will be strongest.

parents advise

Hi... during the recent parent meetings it has been observed that many parents are following the blog silently. I have received some suggestions to focus on certain issues, they are as follows:

1. give more light into each special need ( characteristics, diagnosis, teaching strategies, behavioural issues of each )
2. teaching tips
3. vocational guidance
4. motivating parents ( we are already doing)

pl. give your comments on this.

Busy week

It has been a very busy week with parent teacher meetings, visitor from Foxwood School, children outings and preaprtion for upcoming workshop.

I just want to share a poem which was sent to me by a friend long back. Many of you might have seen it... still I want you to read once again.

WHOSE CHILD IS THIS?
Author Unknown

"Whose child is this?" I asked one day
Seeing a little one out at play
"Mine", said the parent with a tender smile
"Mine to keep a little while
To bathe his hands and comb his hair
To tell him what he is to wear
To prepare him that he may always be good
And each day do the things he should"

"Whose child is this?" I asked again
As the door opened and someone came in
"Mine", said the teacher with the same tender smile
"Mine, to keep just for a little while
To teach him how to be gentle and kind
To train and direct his dear little mind
To help him live by every rule
And get the best he can from school"

"Whose child is this?" I ask once more
Just as the little one entered the door
"Ours" said the parent and the teacher as they smiled
And each took the hand of the little child
"Ours to love and train together
Ours this blessed task forever."
